The family
Bob and Kari Zett
The Dairy Ferry Farm was first established in Russell Springs, Kentucky by Bob and Kari Zett in 2024. It is a private family operation — not a tourist attraction, not a factory — built around animals we can name and food we would serve our own table.
Bob tends the land, hay, and structures that keep the place running. Kari is the hand behind the dairy, the kitchen, and Kari’s Konfections, the farm’s custom cake and cupcake work. Together they are growing a farm that can feed a region without losing the feel of a homestead.
We are rooted in Somerset and Russell Springs first. From there we expand by partnering with select locally owned businesses — the kind of shops and kitchens that still talk to the people who grow their food.

Hoop houses and growing structures stretch the Kentucky season for herbs, starts, and tender crops.
